The Danish premiere of the film Island of Good Hope in Copenhagen!

On November 8, 2023, with a full house, about 180 spectators, our film screening took place in the framework of the "East by Southeast" film festival, organized by the Danish Film Institute, with the participation of the writer-director, partly Hungarian Dimitry Ljasuk. This year, the Danish Film Institute also selected the film "Island of Good Hope" as one of the 10 best films to be screened.

The screening and the Q&A session were very popular, we received a lot of positive feedback from the participating diplomats, as well as from the local Hungarian community and the Danish audience.

A Kávészünet concert has taken place in Copenhagen!

On October 6, 2023, the Remembrance Day of the Martyrs' of Arad, in the framework of the Petőfi Memorial Year, a live music concert of the Hungarian band Kávészünet ('Coffeebreak'), a group well known for their modern musical arrangements of Hungarian classical poems, took place in the Kulturhus Risjberggaard conference center in Copenhagen, organized by our Embassy, with great interest and the participation of Hungarian, Danish and other nationalities.

The fusion of classical poetry with modern soundscapes proved to be extremely popular, with the audience rewarding the quality of the performance with a long round of applause.

Odense International Filmfestival - Hungarian films among the best ones!

From 28 August to 3 September 2023, the Odense International Filmfestival received more than 4,000 entries, of which 129 films from 45 countries were selected for screening at the festival. In total, three films by three artists represented Hungary in Odense: Anna Gyimesi's short film Affricate, Balázs Turai's animated film "Amok" and Nikolett Fábián's animated film Resting Fog. At the results announcement on 3 September, Balázs Turai's short film "Amok" won first place in the Danish and international animation category, we congratulate him warmly!
