At the opening ceremony of the 2024 Film Festival on 26 August 2024 and the related cultural opening events, which took place throughout the day, our Embassy was represented by Consul Dr. Gyula Mike, Diplomat for Culture and Press, who met and discussed possible future joint projects with the Director of the Danish Film Institute, Tine Fischer, and Søren Windel, Deputy Mayor for Culture of the City of Odense. In the framework of a full day of activities organised by the City Council for diplomats from the invited countries, the participants also visited the Dynamo Circus and Alternative Arts Centre in Odense (where they had the opportunity to see a taste of the internationally successful productions of young local artists), TID ("Time"), a museum dedicated to the history of the city of Odense, and a festive concert by the Odense Symphony Orchestra to mark the event.
