For the fourth consecutive year, the Balassi Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade invites all eligible applicants for its Hungarian literary translation programme. During the programme, participants translate pieces of Hungarian literature with the help of a native-language translator consultant, who continuously reviews the students’ progress. Students also learn about practical aspects of translation, contemporary Hungarian literature, literary criticism and theater life. In addition, they meet a contemporary Hungarian writer, poet, translator at least 4 times a school year or participate their workshops.
