On June 1, 2025, the 14th Copenhagen Jewish Cultural Festival held its opening ceremony, at which our Embassy was represented by Ambassador Gabriella Jakab and Consul Dr. Gyula Mike, following the tradition of previous years.
Our Embassy contributed to the success of the week-long program series with two events: on the afternoon of the opening day, we held a panel discussion with Hungarian and Danish experts on the fundamental human, moral, and security issues of Jewish life, and on June 3, in cooperation with the Danish Film Institute, we screened a digitally restored version of István Szabó's classic film The Taste of Sunshine. Our programs attracted great interest, with members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the local Hungarian community, and interested Danes in attendance. Our events were largely funded from our own resources.
